Please join us for the 2016 Queensland Legal Walk!

On 17 May 2016, as part of National Law Week, communities across Queensland will walk together to fundraise for Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House (QPILCH) and celebrate the legal profession’s commitment to ensuring all Queenslanders have access to the legal system when they most need it.

The fundraising target for this years Walk is $100,000 which will be used to support QPILCH  Mental Health Law Practice and to help cover clients’ disbursements in legal matters. To reach the target it is hoped that each registered Walker will also raise a minimum of $100 each. ‘Justice Cups’ will again be presented to the top fundraising teams and individuals !

If you are unable to join the Walk please consider making a donation instead.

Over 2,000 disadvantaged Queenslanders turn to QPILCH every year – people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, people with mental illness, refugees and self-represented litigants. Your fundraising efforts will ensure QPILCH can continue to assist these individuals and help remove the barriers to justice that reinforce poverty and exclusion.

The Walk will commence simultaneously at 7am in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and the Sunshine Coast. In Brisbane, the Walk will follow a 5km route along both sides of the Brisbane River and make its way back to the Queen Elizabeth II Court Complex. Walkers will be treated to a complimentary breakfast and the event usually concludes at 8.30-9am.

Registration is $35 per adult and $25 for students. If your organisation would like to make a ‘bulk’ registration please email:

We look forward to seeing you and your colleagues at the 2016 Queensland Legal Walk!
